Another day under my belt
Another morning waking up after a restful sleep, staring into my own face instead of that of a ghost stranger. Another day of packing a lunch of healthful foods from the bounty in my fridge where nothing rots forgotten. Another day on the subway with my chin up and my gate sturdy and confident. My clear mind ready for the day ahead with all the others whose clarity I nittetly envied so many bleary mornings. Another morning at the gym before the office. Another day not hiding out from my coworkers and fake working hoping no one notices. Having meetings where I speak but have no recollection of what I've said.
Another day of managing my feelings, whatever they may be. Acknowledging the anxiety and working to pass it instead of being groped by it to the demise of my productivity.
Today I woke up sober and will stay sober for the chance of another day like today tomorrow.

Thanks Water ... that brought some gratitude ... thank God, I am FREE from that behavior now ... Sobering indeed. (Actually, it is a great reminder why I continue to work my Program of Sobriety ... to practice the Principles in all my affairs)
