6 AM and having an anxiety attack.. Just Breathe!

I signed myself up for a "public opinion" thing today. Which means I have to leave my house, not that I'm scared of that. Things just haven't been going good lately.. I'm just stressing over nothing!

One step at a time. Mornings shouldn't be so tough but they are the worst. At least you didn't wake up, go out in the garage and look to see what booze you left out so your spouse wouldn't find it..... And, drank a half glass of something because you don't want it to go to waste. I say this only to hope to make you feel better. Take one step at a time today and you will get through it!

Mornings are tough for me too but not as bad as when I was drinking.

Facing the day can be hard but not facing the day and hiding in your house will only make you feel worse.

Mornings are typically the worst for anxiety because your brain is firing up for the day. I suggest herbal tea (Starbucks' Pink Tranquility does well for me) and vigorous exercise. Hang in there.

Hi Marissa,

Hopefully once you are up and about you will feel better. What is the public opinion thing you are doing?

Thanks everyone!! I got through it. It was like a mock trial. It paid good and I actually interacted with people! woohoo! lol
Nothing like spending the day with strangers!

Glad it went well, Marissa. (Sounds interesting).

A walk usually relieves my anxiety!

mornings ARE THE WORST, HANDS DOWN. I wake between 3:30 and 4:00am, with only 4 or so hours sleep under my belt. All I know to do is listen to meditation/sleep videos on YouTube and hope I can go back to sleep. I think I just want you to know that this can be par for the course...certainly early on, and even later, as things suppressed or anesthetized "arise". I know now that my brain is primed for worry and anxiety in this timeframe, and there is no reasoning with it. I just wait. Sometimes I get back to sleep, sometimes I don't. See your doctor if you feel you are becoming unbearably tired.
