Finally broke through the weekend

Hello friends,

Day 8 here on a Monday morning, and so very happy to say that I had an alcohol free weekend! AA saved me. Attended meetings all of last week and got a sponsor.
Still young in my sobriety, but the weekend was a major psychological hurdle for a long time.

Finally seeing a glimmer of light at the end of this tunnel

These mini milestones are great. Getting through a day, getting through a week, getting through a weekEND, a holiday, a bad work day.. All the biggies where drinking was a GIVEN, not a maybe. You're slowly but surely learning that you can live without it. If you can do it today, you can do it tomorrow, if you can do it for a week, you can do it for two.
