My first day
Good Morning everybody! I've been reading posts on here for years and needing to start living better for a very very long time. I just wanted to put it out there and get this party started. I recently made it to 5 days sober and I've never been more than two weeks in 20 years...wow I'm getting old! I've never broke it down like that. Anyways...seems like a great, genuine site and I look forward to growing and learning with you all!
Have a nice day!

Hi and Welcome SB! Good to have you "officially" aboard and posting! Great work on 5 days sober. Those very early days can be some of the toughest so hang in there and keep posting! You'll be happily amazed at how old you
will feel after you get more sobriety time
under your belt so to speak.
It was explained to me that the day
you surrender to your addiction and
put the plug in the jug, then that very
day would become like the first day
you picked up a drink of alcohol.
How old were you when you took
your first drink would be the question
you'd ask yourself. Teens? 20's?
When I began drinking in early 20's
then when I stopped drinking at 30,
my mental state was that of a 20yr
old.
So today at 26 yrs sober, I'm really
still young and maturing in my mind
if that makes sense?
Even tho I'm actually in my late 50's I'm
still young in my mind. And will remain
young at heart, mind and soul for a long time.
