Wellness Toolbox
I've been working on putting together a recovery binder and just fininished my "Wellness Toolbox" section. Thought I'd share it:
- Maintain blood sugar with 3 meals and regular healthy snacks.
- Drink hot herbal tea with a spoonful of honey
- Stay hydrated with plenty of water
- Watch a good movie or binge-watch Netflix
- Play a board game with someone (I love Monopoly and chess)
- Do a creative writing exercise
- Get enough sleep (I need at least 8 hours). Be in bed by midnight and take a nap if I need to.
- Avoid too much coffee or soda... more than 2-3 cups makes me anxious
- Do a breathing exercise or take a long walk
- Spend quality time with my pets
- Get on top of housekeeping.
- Cook or bake some comfort food
- Get lost in a good book
- Surf the web
- Watch a Lifetime movie (lol)
- Take a hot bath or shower
- Color!
- Write a quick gratitude list or explore my spiritual beliefs
- Grab a bite to eat with someone
Those are things I can do to make me feel better when I'm down.
Thanks everyone!

Great list kgr. Some of mine include...
Going for a run
Having my nails and/or hair done
Having a massage
Listening to an audio book
Like you...making a gratitude list, binging on Netflix, taking a naps, herbal teas, cooking and staying hydrated all help me too 👍
Happy new year 🎉🎉🎉

We're in sync! Just started mine now. Thanks for the extra ideas (boardgames, housekeeping and baking!)
Also, just added to post here everyday since I lost touch after I felt "safe". Don't want to do that again. Also, I want to reach out to one friend everyday, if even a text. I have a habit of going into my own little cave. Love this process so far
