Happy 6 Months to Me!

Today is 180 days alcohol free for me. I just got back from a 2 mile walk/run and going to get ready for my New Years Eve day where I have two AA meetings planned to ring in the new year. I started at SR not knowing how the F I was going to stay sober but I took it one day at a time and still do. I held on so tight past the cravings and anxiety because I knew the pain of getting sober HAD to be better than the pain of staying drunk. I know I can't control my drinking. I don't even want to try. I feel more calm and some days I have joy that I just want to shout out. Other days I feel just ok.... but there is no good excuse to drink anymore. Stay sober and safe this evening. Thanks for all the support!

I agree, you can't control your drinking, we all can't. But you can control your not drinking.
