At about 4:30am UK time I'll have been sober six days. But between now and then is NYE. I'm not going out and will be spending it home alone (by choice) and that in itself isn't bad, but I've always drank on NYE, mainly because I find it hard to get through. Family tragedy and one thing and another make it pretty unenjoyable. The closer to it I get, the more jittery and nervy I'm getting.

Thanks Phoenix, SW, I'm determined to not drink tonight. That's my only goal at present. If I can get through today then...Who knows but going out tonight would be a disaster.

Now that is a post worth celebrating!! Great job welcoming in 2017 sober, only good things can come of that.

We still have 7 hours and 42 minutes until the new year begins in California, I will be ringing it in sober as well!

Thanks Dee/everybody. I'm awake so I might stay up and celebrate day 6 at 4:30ish! Got woken up by drunken party goers and really don't feel left out - There was vomit. Nice.
