Well I detoxed at home but that probably isn't the greatest idea. I wish I didn't. For me it was really bad the first three days . After that It got better each day. It's a slow process but it's really worth it. I'm much happier now. I know you can do it and it will totally change your life

Just remember, this isn't the end of something special. It will be the beginning. The beginning of a beautiful new life. One where you can wake up feeling healthy and look forward to the day ahead without wrestling through disjointed memories while you concoct excuses and half truths, or figure out who to avoid for a bit. A life where you can make plans knowing you're likely to be fit to participate. A future where you can form and nurture truly loving relationships because you will be emotionally available. A life where you will have the choice of developing to your true potential. A life where you will be able to learn to accept the rough with the smooth.

Wishing you all the best for your recovery. BB

Nailed it.

I am cutting back today and I feel not well. Thank God I am doing med detox. I'd be screwed without it.

I think you made a good decision Horn - like berrybean says, this is the start of something, not the end

Horn, if you get a minute, also have a squiz at what I just wrote for K66 [thread 'I'm ruining my life'] as she wonders about going into rehab. Detox / rehab: they're all a bit scary.

Best wishes to you

Horn, this is so great, I know you will never regret the change! Physically you are so smart to get monitored. Once you are able to be on your own I imagine they will give good advice about how to manage nutrition, that part can be fun to focus on if you can. Like buying fruits and making smoothies. I always carry ice water. Excellent, stay in touch.
