Nervous and scared
Nervous and scared
Please send good thoughts my/our way. Today is our flight. I am not a particularly anxious flyer, but have grown more so since having children. But today I am particularly nervous given the events in Berlin yesterday. We have a layover in Munich, it is the holiday season- prime season for terrorists to ruin it all for the rest of us, etc etc. I know the airport will be on hight alert. I also know that should- GOD FORBID- anything take place, being sober and able to evaluate the situation will help, but I am fighting thoughts of drinking this morning. Not really a desire, I don't want to, but it is on my mind. Of course there is no alcohol in my house. I'm out of milk having drained my fridge this week and will stop by the bar for my morning coffee. There is wine there... But it is a terrible idea and won't make anything at all better. I have to face my fears head on and just get on with the flight and get home to America for all the beautiful plans I have made.
Just posting it out here folks. I won't drink. But please pray for me, send me good wishes or whatever it is that you do, I could use it. If anything happened to my babies I would just die. But I suppose if they are going to bomb the plane I WOULD die too, so there's that..... Christ almighty the nerves!
Off for my coffee and a quick trip to the salon before we depart.
Love to you all.

Mera, sending thoughts for safe and peaceful travels. Make sure the kids have headphones, they can watch something on the flight to stay entertained, I was able to use my credit card to pay for the movies.
Make sure you have something to keep your mind occupied as well. Where are you flying into? How long are you staying?

Hi Mera
I still believe the chance of getting caught in some kind of terrorist act is incredibly remote for most of us
Getting a young family on a plane and to the US is still a major undertaking tho.
I'm sure you realise its best you remain sharp mentally and physically to take care of your kids.
Hope it's an easy passage for you all

Hey, Mera - happy travels luv. Yes, the Berlin attack would have thrown any of us, especially if passing through. Maybe send up a few prayers for those who actually WERE caught up in it, and their families.
Looking forward to your Dispatches from the US of A.

Its all going to be ok. Sometimes, and this is just me, I have to remind myself 'thy will be done' when things completely outside of my control are making me crazy.
