12 steps groups in NYC
Can you please advise where on the site I can search for 12 steps NA groups?
Yesterday I sent email through the site and today was called and have answered some basic questions, the person who called me suggested to search for groups on the site, but I'm actually not able to find where exactly should I look. I also tried to get more information about the groups through the life chat on the site, but surprisingly the person who chatted with me "didn't have this information on hand". Really strange and bit frustrating.
So, please, will be really appreciated if someone can provide me the link to the groups or URL where I can search for them.

Hi ph4!
Go to this website: Find a meeting ? NYCNA
The website is a little funky. Let me know by PM if you have any problems with it.

Sorry for asking stupid questions, but I'm really new to this..
After I find the group which looks right for me, do I need to register somehow, or inform them that I'm a newcomer and am going to take part in the group meeting? Or, should I just join the meeting without informing them in advance?

the meetings have a chairperson. there will be readings at the beginning, then usually a topic is chose, then people share on the topic, one at a time.
you may want to let them know youre new and if they ask if theres any newcomers don't be afraid to raise your hand and let em know.
something id suggest is if they have any copies of the basic text of NA( that's a book that has the program layed out) to pick up a copy.
and keep goin back!
