I love this place

So I have been going over a few old posts and it reminded me what a wonderfully supporive place this is.
Im on day 2 today and its been tough- my twin boys are now teenagers and shall we say not as sweet as they were when little.
I know from last time that the first 7 days are always the most difficult so im just taking it hour by hour.
Starting drinking again was a stupid choice of mine- I used AVRT last time and as im still not working i got a call from the people who ran tne course asking if I would join them as a full time tutor. Of course i had to say I was drinking again and that was the end of that .
So one day at a time and see how i go

I'm glad that you're back, and I agree that the first week is tough and you just have to get through it. Are you going to try AVRT again or maybe add something else to your plan?

Welcome back. I totally agree, this is a great place and so helpful.

Wow. Twin teenage boys! How's the grocery bill?

All kidding aside: You will be setting a wonderful example for them in not drinking.

Teenagers are a very strange form of human. They're like toddlers with body hair and hormones. Have you ever tried to drive through the high school parking lot as school is getting out? The kids just walk in front of the cars, completely oblivious. It's like they need to be re-taught 'look both ways sweetie'. The oblivious self absorption is epic.

What is an AVRT tutor? Just curious.

I feel the same way about SR, and I am glad you are back!

My girls are 12 & 13, and my son is 9, just getting into the teen years, and they are definitely interesting!

Hang in there, you know it will start to get easier as those days build up.

❤️ Delilah

Frickaflip233 an AVRT tutor is the same as rational recovery and teaches addictive voive recognition training- more details can be found in the secular section of this site
