Hello my friends!
Hanging my head over my general absence in recent weeks. Things are always busy at work toward the end of the year (various departments trying to spend their budgets by 12/31 means that those of us in procurement do a lot of "hurrying up and waiting" while departments get their requisitions in for things like 50 CPR dummies, and assorted fruits for the primates at the zoo), but I am particularly SWAMPED this year under the largest project I have ever spearheaded during my almost 4 years here. So far things have been running fairly smoothly, but it's just going to be a crazy busy last 5 weeks of the year for me. I have time off from 12/23-12/27, but otherwise, I will be at work, nose to the grindstone.
We had a nice Thanksgiving. I cooked, but we didn't do our holiday dinner until Saturday. It was the first time that all three of my kids, and both of my gentleman friend's kids, have been together for more than a short visit (four of the five are together often--it's his younger daughter who isn't in the mix as much). We've had many of the normal growing pains that come with trying out cohabitation and blending families, but we've been wading through it in a generally healthy manner and everyone seems to be adjusting well.
STBXAH is his usual self, cycling through his highs and lows, still drinking.
My DD13 seems to have come out of the worst of her emotional crisis that hit full force back in late October. She is still receiving intervention and treatment, but seems to have stabilized.
Missing my SR folks! Hope all is well.

Wisconsin, glad to hear from you--hope you're making sure to take care of yourself during your heavy-duty work schedule, especially in light of the wacky weather this fall (aren't you loving the cold, damp, rainy, windy yuck that is today??).
Glad DD is doing better, and glad things in general are going well for you.

During Budget Year-End season, Wisconsin bought for me...
50 CPR dummies,
[whatever else you purchase],
and assorted fruits for primates at the zoo.
