Hi Tom
I have never ever regretted giving up drink.
Start with a day at a time.
Keep busy at times when you would usually drink.
I remember my first day, 1st week, 1st month, 1st six months, 1st year. Each milestone made me fell 20 metres high.
If I can do it you can do it yep?
I wish you the best xx

Today is day # 5. It's a struggle but each day I feel a little better. Very groggy today but will pull through. Stay on this site. It helps.

Hi Just Tom
I could never stay sober for long - SR was a great help to me in that way with the constant support and encouragement I got here.
The other thing I learned was the necessity of a recovery plan.
This link gives you a pretty good idea of what a recovery plan is and what it might look like for you
