Day 1
Hi everyone!
So I'm on Day 1 again for what seems the 1000th time and I'm glad to be here on SR . I don't have a lot to offer by way of sober wisdom, I'm pretty burned out and hollow these days, it's really sucked. Anyway, I just hope to get through today and make a meeting as well as to continue to post here daily. Thanks

Take care of yourself, get rest, stay hydrated, come up with a recovery plan.
You've got this!
Welcome to SR!! This is a wonderful site filled with support. A few good threads are the monthly classes, you should post on November, and December when it starts. Also, the 24 hour recovery thread.
I had many day ones, and I am a few days shy of 11 months, and this site is a big part of my recovery. You can do this!!

Welcome and Good Luck! There are great people on here. I went for years not wanting to or believing that I could go even 1 day without a drink. Today is 36 days without a drop and I feel better every day. You can do this!
Good to meet you Blondsean!
Burned out and hollow - yes, that'd be Day One alright. I remember the feeling well. I had many Day Ones too - but I finally got free and stayed that way. Being here at SR to share thoughts and ideas really helped me. I hope you feel the same. Welcome!

In the last hour I've got on my knees two times and prayed I won't drink again.
I don't have a religion nor believe in it.
But hey. I haven't gone and bought alcohol.
This is day 1 again for me mate.
Getting on your knees and saying its beaten you seems to work

Are you going cold turkey? I'm on day 3. I have prayed more times than I can count. My symptoms have been fairly minimal.
Hoping tomorrow is an even better day.
Keep doing what you're doing.

Day 2
Wow!! I was so surprised by all the supportive comments!! I made it through Day 1 and I got to wake up without a hangover for the first time in a long time. So nice!! Anyway, today's challenge is getting through my long work day and getting home drink free. Good luck to all of you today too, especially my brothers and sisters counting days, every one of you gives me inspiration to keep at it, thank you for that!!
Welcome Blondsean. You have found a great place to work on getting sober.
I have had so many day ones that I have given up on keeping track. Matter of fact today is day one for me again. I almost let my pride keep me out of the chats because I just could not post here I am again on day one.
Tooz. Thanks for the post about getting on your knees and admitting that it had beaten you. That was helpful for me.
