clearminded
I just joined - from Minneapolis,mn. Recovering from alcohol addiction. Was sober almost a year then started hitting the bottle again over this past summer. Decided to quit & admitted myself to detox - that was October 28th & have not had a drop since. Anyone out there that can relate to adjusting without booze? ( from clearminded).

Clearminded, yes, many people on here can relate! I got sober one day last summer, been much more clearheaded since. Starts off pretty easy, least it did for me. The elation of not being hung over is intoxicating, the days are so much better! It takes work to sustain once that high of feeling good gets to be normal. Eating is different and food tastes so darn good that helps, sleep can be harder to come by so for me taking melatonin helped when sleep eluded. Social expectations and Breaking habits with others takes work and Thought, pre-planning. All worth it.
