Relapse

And it happened that quick. Came home to meth psychosis. Awful. He denies using. Somehow his dad got him in the car and they are headed to the hospital. I hope he gets him inside.

Sephra....I am sorry to hear this. I am glad that you weren't alone....(I am assuming that his dad was there?).
Please let us know how it goes....

When this settles down, would you and your husband consider consulting a professional addictions counselor regarding a long term plan that the two of you can live with?
I think you both are in over your heads. Tome for more help.
(I wish you were seeing your individual counselor...lol)...

oh my, i am so sorry you had to face that again, in your own home.

a serious conversation with your husband is needed. HIS plan isn't working. because this is a condition far beyond his ability or yours. also once a drug addict experiences paranoia or psychosis from drug use, that becomes the norm. there is no going back.

His dad was the one who found him and realised although I got home a little before. I stayed home and am sitting here worried as hell. The past 2 times he's used both after about 2 months clean have brought him to psychosis and I had wondered if that would be the norm...thanks for the confirmation. I am glad I wasn't here alone to face it. Scary scary. I guess I'm not gonna cancel the appt with the counselor after all. Hopefully his dad will come. Aside from the appt mix ups she's good.

Sephra....I know it is hard not to...but, try to not worry yourself into a lather...
Just know that whatever comes, you can and will face it....
Take a deep breath...take a bath...eat something decent for dinner....watch a little tv or talk to a friend....whatever will self sooth you a bit.
I would wait to talk to your husband when you feel a little better..no point in a confrontation, tonight....or tomorrow, either....
Hopefully, he will be admitted to the hospital for a while.....

Well he admitted to being in a car where someone was smoking meth. Dr. Said the proximity could have triggered it cause of his past meth use? I don't know. I do know he was pretty tweaked most of the night and I did not sleep much. Can't deal with the stress and decided to skip thanksgiving with husbands family and am isolating at home. Which is probably healthier for me than it sounds.

I'm not sure that adds up ?

One thing for sure -- if he truly wishes to stay clean he needs to have friends who are not using.

If I hang out in a barber shop long enough -- I will probably end up with a hair cut.

Take care of yourself,
