Thoughts of drinking
I'm busy, busy, busy with packing my house and getting rid of old stuff. I hit a wall about an hour or so ago and thoughts of how nice it would be to reward myself with 'just one' entered my head.
I'd barely eaten all day. When the thoughts came, I asked myself what it really was that I needed. The answer was (duh!) food and a short break.
So I've eaten a huge chicken and salad roll, had a big drink of water and rested for half an hour. Cravings and thoughts of alcohol gone.
Off now to get on with packing.

Great work.
Hands down, no question, my biggest trigger was a stressful, strenuous activity. Moving especially.
Once I broke my sobriety during packing and moving. A bed slammed to the ground on my foot when we were moving it and BAM. I drank daily for a year.

That's great! Packing up your house and purging old stuff can be very emotional so I'm glad you're keeping watch on how you're doing. Good for you for knowing you needed food and a break.
None,
I crave almost daily at 18 months.
Holidays are a trigger.
The addiction is relentless.
I never regret waking up for work at 230 am....18 months clean.
It used to be hell. I would drink and take melatonin to fall asleep.
Crazy days. Glad they are forever behind me.
Thanks.
