It's a record!
It's a record!
It s a record! Day 98, one day more than my previous record of 97 (about 6 years ago) Interesting milestone but the most important thing of all is that the number doesn't really matter anymore.
I have followed advice from here and my life is changing very fast. I am achieving things, I am happy, I am healthy.
I am posting this on the newcomers forum because the message I want to send is that life can change very fast once you take action.
I had to really decide to sober up, I had to build a recovery plan and follow it, I had to resist triggers, the first month was hell, but, slowly, life is now changing.
If 98 days ago anyone asked me where I'd be now I wouldn't even dream of saying I'd be where I am. There is still a lot of work to do and I can't ever take sobriety for granted, but this is sooooo much easier now than 3 months ago.
It can happen to anyone, make the decision and go for it!
Love to you all.

Congrats. Yes it rarely gets worse in recovery. I know I sometimes have to face the BS I've created from my drinking, or deal with difficult feelings and emotions. That can make it SEEM worse, but in reality, life improves everyday that I don't drink.
Yes so proud of you... You have definitely been an inspiration to me. Very cool to know such a talented musician getting straight from the lies of drink/drug and still continuing to create your art and not turning your back on your passion! BRAVO!
