I am now 51 weeks sober.

My SR brother RedAndy just hit his one year mark and he should be so proud of getting to this milestone.

For you new folks on the site - believe me, I know that a year being sober seems like something so far away you can't wrap your head around it. But if you commit to making a plan and just getting through one day at a time - those days will add up to weeks and then months and a year will be here before you know it.

Life does get better in so many different ways when you are in control of your actions/decisions and a substance is not.

Stick to your plans folks - we can do this!

It has been such a pleasure to follow your progress and see your determination. I can't wait to see you here next week, but for now, just enjoy this accomplishment, which is fantastic!
