Day 9 - Finally did it… but had to stay off this site
I just typed a huge post about my recovery, but it did not save!! I will type it all later, but in a nut shell I had to log off of this site to get the courage. All of the withdrawal threads "You could DIE from withdrawals…" etc etc kept me afraid.
Yes, I experienced symptoms but I made it.

Congratulations Roselover!
Have you ever looked into RR and AVRT? There are great threads on those ideas here on SR in the Secular Connections forum, I benefitted tremendously from learning about them, I highly recommend checking into them !!
wish you well and hope to see you around
Again Congratulations!

I'm not trying to scare anyone or run anyone off when I warn about detox - just hoping people will see their doctors
I'm glad you made it through ok, but for anyone reading, it still can be a potentially dangerous thing to do.

Understand completely. on day 12. sometimes it is 1 hour at a time buy I did it. I read the warnings, scarede, tried tapwring7, didn't work. finally decided if I was strong enough to stop I wouls.be strong enough to go to the hospital if o needed. not sure of I would have but it never got that bad. wasn't easy, but it is memory that I don't want to repeat and I'm not sure next time wouldn't be worse.
good for you!!!
good for you!!!
I totally understand. I have an anxiety disorder and when I went to meet with a keyworker about my addiction, she was running through withdrawal symptoms and I had so many of them but it was due to my anxiety! Everytime she said a new symptom, I started worrying that I had it. I kept an emergency number with me throughout withdrawal just in case and took a herbal sleeping tablet to help for the first few days.
Day 9 is brilliant and I hope you are proud of how far you have come already!
