Happy & sober Halloween everyone!

we get >400 kids here

my father and sister come over and along with my wife we eat chili dogs and pass out candy

ONLY BECAUSE I'M SOBER

In our other house, we got a ton of kids. It was a safe , walkable neighborhood. In our current house, we haven't had any trick or treaters in the past two Halloweens that we have lived here. Street is very short, houses are set back, and no streetlights. I guess i'm a Halloween scrooge, but I don't miss the giving out candy business.

Happy Halloween!

Many kids today enjoy Trunk or Treating....families that know each other park and open their trunks as the kids parade by.....or there are Halloween Parties, not so much true Trick-or-Treating anymore!

There's a large group of adults gathered in a neighbor's driveway. Lots of beer and wine flowing. I don't think I'd be tempted to indulge, but they would keep encouraging me to "just have one". Rather than deal with that, I'm handing out candy and catching up on what all of you have done and thought about today.
