Day 19

Day 19 is done, absolutely no cravings on a Friday is wonderful for me...I am so thankful. To wake up without guilt, shame and self-loathing is a wonderful thing! No hangover is also a plus. Knowing I didn't get another DUI, so I still have my nursing licence, my job and my home, is a nice feeling. Knowing I didn't take beer into my child's sports awards night again, is also reassuring. If I don't get drunk, I don't have to worry that I MAY...get hit by a car when I am drunk (broken leg), OR climb to the top of a moving train while drunk, fall off, and break my neck again. These 4 bottoms are years old, and also right around the corner. Thank you, SR.

That's great! It does feel great to wake up clear and sober in the morning. And that feeling keeps getting better, the longer you are sober- keep going!

Good job Fortress. Something to really take note of is how grateful you are for your daily reprieve from drinking! That is a good reminder: gratitude really does help keep one sober. And its a choice. I can think of the negative, be angry, feel sorry for myself....but the only person that hurts is ME (not to mention driving everyone else crazy). Keep it up!
