I'm Jay, and I'm an alcoholic
Hi everyone. Like the title says I'm an alcoholic. I'm 29 years old and have been a problem drinker for a while. I first tried booze when I was 13 but I was mostly a pothead when I was younger. It wasn't until I was 21 that I started to drink maybe twice a week to get drunk. From about 25-28 I was basically drinking everyday. Everyday I would drink anywhere from 4-6 beer and maybe 8 if it was the weekend. The last year and a half I've been more of a weekend drinker but it's pretty normal to down 8-12 beers. Last weekend I went on a 3 day binge where I probably drank 40 beers over the course of those days, with one of the days drinking 20 beers. That's a lot of beer for anyone but I only weigh about 130lbs so the fact that I can drink that much and not die is just a clear sign that I'm on the path to death. On Sunday I had one beer but I felt so terrible that I didn't even care to drink. I decided to join here just as maybe a statement to myself that I'm finally committed to quitting drinking. I'm a little worried about the weekend for obvious reasons so any prayer would be appreciated. I'll probably post more tomorrow just to keep this mindset going that I can't go back to drinking. Thanks for reading.
I did too. . .
I vote you've burned your brain from any natural state.
If not, tell me why is only 7% of US are alcoholics?
While 93% are normal.
I am because I've an addictive personality.
I can't use.
I must find a good life SOBER.
More fun for me . . .

Thanks everyone. I was worried about today since I'm mostly a weekend binge drinker but I just occupied my time and took it basically hour by hour. Haha used that as an excuse to take a nap but oh well. Later in the evening I went for a run which really helped. Something about exercising I just don't feel right drinking after it. Once again thanks.
Ya Jay,
Isn't exercise amongst the best sober activities?
I'm even more dedicated now to weight lift regularly, till I achieve muscles like never before.. Then probably back to honing defensive martial skills.
That and so many other wonderful endeavours that being sober promote. I've got so many ideas for profitable products and businesses to pursue now. Whereas before I wasn't motivated, confident, nor competent.
I regret all the time that drinking took from me. I could have had a much happier and fulfilling life.
Thankfully, I'm a new person now; mature, experienced, and much stronger.
Good move Jay
