Month One Completed
Checking in to let you all know I have proudly completed my first full month of sobriety having drank heavily for most of this millennium.
It's been better than I thought. I can be a very stubborn bastard and I think that has helped.

Aside- I was reading yesterday, in one of my devotional books, about turning our weaknesses - things that kept us drinking, ie stubbornness, into strengths to help us be sober. Here, stubborn refusal to admit we had a problem ---> stubborn refusal to go back to a drunk life.

Congrats on a month. There are many paths and techniques to staying sober, but doing something else besides drinking always works. Being a stubborn bastard is obviously working for you as long as it is being stubborn about doing something else besides. Good work.
