Hello, my name is Jim
And I know that I am alcoholic. I drink Every Night, by myself. Sometimes I remember where I was the night before, sometimes I Don't.... But I Always make it work Every Day..... I want to be sober, I've been lost for a Very long time.... Don't know where to start.

Hi Jim, I'm new too. Drank every night, by myself, hid it. Sometimes I'd have blank spots in my memory the next morning but I made it to work every day too. I told myself I was doing no harm so it was OK.

Hi and welcoem Jim - coming here is a good start. It meant a lot to me to know that other people understadd and shared mny problem.
Read around, post as much as you want. See what other people are doing to stay sober

Hi Jim,
I drank every night too....for fourteen years. SR is where I learned to live sober. It wasn't easy but it has been totally worth it. I know you can do it but it will take a good plan. We are here to help my friend

Hello and Welcome Jim. I too was an everyday, more often alone than not drinker. You CAN stop and get better. SR is an amazing place for support and encouragement. Read around SR all you can and post as much as you'd like... That's a good place to start.

Welcome Jim,
SR is a great start and a great place. Read the posts, and post your own progress. Everybody has their day one. If you fall down, get back up again. The members here will help. I drank alone too. I stopped drinking in public, and stopped going to bars. No record of my being drunk. But I was not happy, and knew I had a problem. I am making progress, and so can you. You can do it!
