Day 5 check in
Hi everyone! I'm off and running with a new sober coach, therapist and going to a Smart Recovery meeting tomorrow night (first one offered in my area!). Day 5 and just met my PO officer. My new sober coach's organization treats a lot of opiate addicts with methodone type of treatment and he was a bit confused why I was going there and wanted to drug test me . I told him I had no problem with that because my issue is with booze, I don't do any other drug, and explained why I was going there. Quickly cleared that up. Explained that I get my license back next Spring and just decided to make some major lifestyle changes, including sobriety.
One day at a time. Feeling a bit stressed this morning but I know I won't drink today. Happy Sober Wednesday to everyone!
