Really struggling the last week or so.

Don't see my sobriety lasting. This last week or two has been a real struggle. There was 2 days where I sort of slipped and took Dramamine to numb myself, but didnt drink. I am at about 8 weeks though which is good I guess? Depression, loneliness and anxiety has been really getting to me.

8 Weeks is fantastic Smilax!!

What have you been doing for your receovery other than not drinking?

When I quit drinking, I was left with a whole lot of time on my hands and so many other issues in my life that were then brought into sharp focus, so I needed to put a plan together to tackle all of those things, simply removing alcohol wasn't the solution to everything but it was a great foundation to build a life upon.

Those other areas can be addressed and going back to drinking is not the answer!!

You can do this!!

I wish I had 8 weeks, well done! When the urge hits, come here and post. You never have to be back at day 1 again.

8 weeks is great. Try to be patient with the process. And, it's good to remember that you need to make lifestyle changes to support our recovery. Are you getting out and having fun, exercising, eating well, all those kinds of things? You can do this!

Keep your spirits up, Smilax! You're on the right track and have made great progress, keep after it. Eye of the tiger as they say.

Hi Smilax

we can give you all the advice in the world but unless you take action to stay in recovery, there's not much we can do?

What can you do, right now, to fight for your recovery?
