SHAME Turned Around

As I laid in bed unable to fall asleep last night, this started playing in my head…

You’re never too far from a brand new start…you can turn around.

I thought of all of the shame…and wondered what would happen if SHAME was turned around…

S-Sorrow (Remorse)
H-Hopelessness (Humiliation)
A-Anguish (Regret)
M-Misery (Worry)
E-Embarrassment (Guilt)

When turned around…

E-Enthusiasm (Joy)
M-Meaningful (Purposeful)
A-Awakened (Alive)
H-Hopeful (Optimistic)
S-Self-Confidence (Courage)

I'm sure there are lot of other great words that would fit here too!

Awesome, it is just what I need to hear..I think when we stop drinking and start unpacking our baggage, shame is right up there.

Perfect timing. I just had a good cry about all I have put myself through. No need to punish or hurt ourselves anymore. I love it..thanks for sharing.

Yeah.

That's very cool.

Shame is such a deadly burden. So unnecessary and destructive.

I don't carry it around anymore and the freedom from shame is beautiful.
