Got an accurate diagnosis

I finally found out I have a stomach ulcer from drinking. Its a relief to know that. I now have a fighting chance to live a long life as long as I never drink again.

It's good to know what ails us. Will that be enough to keep you sober?

I'm glad you found out, sweetichick.
Drinking on an ulcer can be catastrophic.

Hows everything else going?

I hate to put a dampener on things, but in my own experience of surviving a car accident and feeling relieved - I also thought 'I'll never drink again' - that was 1999.
Might be an idea to have a few other ideas ( a plan) for when the shock and relief wear off

I'm feeling much better already. A bit terrified about payday in 3 days. I need to juggle up my routine a bit to make sure I get past the bottleshop.

Maybe instead of just juggling your existing routine you could add some completely new things specifically to work on being sober? Spending time here or joining the weekender thread would fit that category. Or hitting a support group meeting locally? If you are already worried a about buying alcohol so soon after your diagnosis that's a big red flag.
