My husband has been ill for a few days yesterday he was being sick on the hour for 12 hours then last night he had to go to hospital about pain in his legs and back he on strong painkillers but there not helping he in so much pain and i dont know what to do to make its better for him
He been using hotwater bottles but they get cold after a while and need more water in them so he has move and refill it am very clumsy and my husband will not let me doing because i could burn myself
Am meant to be going to the drs tomorrow to get bloods done
he really needs to see his dr about this and get stronger pain killers
He in pain at the moment if he stands it hurts and if he sits it hurts
There is nothing i can do to help him get through this ...its so hard to someone in so much pain and can do nothing for them

Me myself i fell hopeless and useless want to drink
we went shopping for food today the juice lane is next to the drink lane every time we get juice i have to go past the whiskey and vodka
and when am away from it there are people who are in the cashing lane and they have drink too someone behind us had about 4 big bottles of vodka
i feel so tired and i feel bad that am thinking about drink when my husband is in so much pain

You are in pain too. The pain of addiction. But drinking isn't the answer. For your pain or your husband's pain. Be strong. Don't drink. You'll both get through this.

If he's in that much pain, you need to be phoning 111 for advice, or the hospital ward he was on - he shouldn't be suffering like this and neither should you x

As I'm sure you realize, you won't be any help to either of you if you are drinking. Stay strong and do a lot of praying.

Stay strong JF. Is there someone else you know that might be able to come and help you and your husband? Could someone take you to your appointment tomorrow too?

I'm glad to hear that you are not drinking JF.
Your husband needs you strong and sober.
