this site gave me hope
Dear Friends
I have just joined and been alcohol free for 7 days now after over 20 years of abusing alcohol on and off (I am 36). I have tried many times to abstain and as soon as I felt better then I would go back to my old ways. I feel my body and mind cannot do this anymore. I know the negatives and positives and reading the posts on here have given me the extra boost to keep following the right path.
Thank you and well done to you all

Stay with it this time. The first 7 days is what we build the next week (or day) upon. Be willing to do whatever it takes.
Best wishes.
