Back again!

Hi, so I was here last yr & stayed sober for 6 months....the usual story...thought I could control it (not a chance) & started drinking in April!!!
As of today I'm hoping & praying I'll stick to it this time...I'm so annoyed with myself, I've let my family down & my husband is royally peed off!!! I've never been to therapy before but I've booked my 1st appointment for Thursday, it's worth a shot!!!

Hi LouLou,

Glad you are back. I have been on SR since 2012, but 2016 is the first year I have been completely sober. In the past I found that when I got complacent I slid back to drinking. I post here daily, and the monthly classes are a wonderful resource. You should join the October class. Also, pop in on the 24 hour thread and post each day.

Welcome back. I'm glad to see you are starting therapy. Mip;lone really helped me with underlying issues that made it hard to silence the urges. Once we worked on my PTSD my urges have been gone.
