Day four
I've been drinking now pretty much everyday for several months and aside from about a year and a half off a few years ago- I've been a drinker for 25 years. Don't get hammered- but ALWAYS look forward to 4 or so drinks after work (6 or so on weekend).
Decided to stop the grind as it was again becoming something that was becoming too much of a priority. And I was sneaking it by having a couple of beers in front of my wife and sneaking a couple swigs of liquor she didn't know about. That illustrates a problem.
Anyhow, everyone here has been really nice (haven't posted since I started back a few months ago) and I look forward to staying "plugged in". I started sleeping better starting my first night of not drinking (Monday). More motivated, more driven, and just overall a better way to live.
I have told my wife I was not drinking and am "partnering" with a friend of mine who is doing the same so we can lean on each other during times of weakness.
