Help me!
Today morning I've had bad discussion with my wife: yesterday i was drunk like a pig. I have three children and don't want to be a bad teacher to my kids. Please, give me a reason not to drink anymore! Thank you!

Thank you! It's really like the turning point in my life, it's all or nothing. And I scared that it will be nothing, it's really hard addiction. I think, that I need support of expert in narcology, but haven't money for it!

Sillix, the reason is quite simple - life or death. Any kind of death - physical, emotional, social, etc.
Reasoning with addiction is useless. Measuring yourself against others who "drink and function" is useless. It's your life.
You have to make a decision. And never look back. Never question it again. Never listen to others who will try to convince you that it's "normal". It's not.
Lots of people quit without experts in narcology. If you feel bad, go to a doc. Don't feel ashamed. There is nothing to be ashamed about.
Best wishes to you.

Hi sillix - welcome back
Aren't your wife and kids reason enough?
I used to hate looking in the mirror at myself. I finally worked out that I could be the main I wanted to be, or I could drink - but not both.
If you're having trouble staying sober, and SR isn't enough why not check out AA?

Hello there Sillix. You have a lot of people that love and depend on you. Sobering up will give you much more strength and your wife will be happier. Your kids will love their father more because he will be more engaged in their lives and more stable. I say do yourself the favor and make your life easier.
I bet that if you sat down with pencil and paper you could come up with at least 10 more.
Join us in the good sober life.
Good luck,
M-Bob
