2 weeks today and a setback...

Morning guys,

2 weeks sober today and i've woken up with the most crippling almost debilitating anxiety its literally almost unbearable. I've been up and down for the past 2 weeks bit i have to say today is the worst anxiety i've had since being sober. Reaching out for support and understanding. Its gonna be a tough day... but i will get through it. Praying it passes soon.

Lots of love.

If it's really debilitating why not see a Dr or therapist Dim?

Hi Dim,

As someone who deals with anxiety I'm sorry that you are having such a rough time today. I promise the anxiety lessens as your sober time builds.

Sorry you're having a difficult time Dim. I found that the longer I was sober the less my anxiety troubled me, or at least it reduced to a manageable level and wasn't so overwhelming and crippling.

It's normal to be like this in the early days but it will pass. Drinking won't solve it just take you right back to the beginning.

Hope you got through the day and sleep tonight.

Hi, hope you get to manage and beat your anxiety (stress) without resorting to drinking which resolves nothing. Anxiety makes me physicaly sick, vertigo, ear problems, chronic fatigue... Im now 40 and still searching for ways to deal with it.
Having a little ritual in the evenings or even a little sport exercise helps.
