on the lighter side.

Hi all,
I was juat listening to an AA tape, and this circuit speaker was doing his talk in England, the speaker is from Kentucky.
Anyway, before the talk started, there was the usual home group announcements, the man said there would be a boxing day party. I know there is a lot of people from UK on this site, so what the heck is boxing day?
Thanks,
Mick
Also Tuesday I'm 30 days sober, not trying to look ahead but for me 30 days is huge.

Traditionally Boxing day follows Christmas day & is a day to unwrap presents I believe

It's the 26th December.

Boxing day was traditionally the day gifts were opened. No idea why!
It's a public holiday too and a big sports day in England. Horses/football etc

Um, learned something today. Knew they had Boxing Day in Canada, never knew it was in England too ( guess I need to get out more often eh?)
