My millionth Day 1

Been trying for 26 years... Had eight years sober, thought I could handle it, was out of control within 2 years. Had 5 years after my DUI, started again in 2011, and....here I am. No new "bottoms" since the DUI, don't even drink every day, but I'm ruining my family life as it is, and the new bottom is just a drink away... This forum is a stone I am not leaving unturned, and so I say to you all: today was Day 1.

Welcome Fortress!! You and I have the same story!! I was 11 years sober and thought I could have one once in a while...I was sure wrong!!
