Well ! here we go , my holiday has started , cases all packed up and flying out to Holland at 5am ( its 7.30pm now in uk) .
I don't know about wifi in our hotel so I can log in here but will try .
I am in a strange kind of mood with all thats has went on the past weeks IE i'm sot really super holiday exited but will be glad of the change of scenery .
If I don't see you till next Friday take care

On the Monday I will be 60 years young and I think we are planning a boat trip in Haarlem . I need to watch the emotions when they all sing happy birthday, he's jolly good fellow and all that palaver .

I hope it's a wonderful time. I loved Amsterdam when I went many years ago. Was still drinking then - would love to return sober.

In a former life it was my favourite place on this planet and often thought I would move / disappear there, this is the first year in the last 20 I haven't spent at least a weekend there - you know what though I haven't ever seen anything of what any normal people ever see in Amsterdam or many of the other fantastic places I have been lucky enough to visit worldwide - now's the time for the real living to start and enjoying and exploring many places where we've never really been truly present.
