I don't make friends easily, I'm kind-of a loner. Always have been and I'm OK with that. I moved to the San Diego area over 2 years ago and made one friend...but I have to stay away from her because she uses.

I don't feel alone, but I feel lonely when my boyfriend is at work. He and I are getting clean together and doing great so far.

I hope to make some clean connections at some meetings soon.

Hi there Red. Come to think of it, I don't have any friends who are clean either. They do drink and go out to pubs, but I choose to meet them at other times -- for coffee, hikes, or workouts.

I always put it id rather have 4 quarters then 100 pennies. a few good strong friends can go along way! i cut off some friends i knew since the 2nd grade when i got clean but thats just how important it was to me. and hey seems like you like cars maybe finding somber friends with similar intrests would be nice. since ive been straight ive began a car obsession. just a thought!

i just bought a c6 corvette. cant lie when im working on the car its kind of a therapy for me i forget about all of lifes worries. its nice if you can find clean friends with similar intrests!!
