43 Weeks
43 Weeks
I am at 43 weeks sober now.
Had a counseling session this past Friday. My counselor is very happy with my progress/plan and thinks we can space out our sessions a little more. I am fine with that as I know all parts of my plan will need to evolve as not to become complacent. For example I have switched from mostly running to now a combination of jogging and circuit weight training to change up my exercise part of my plan.
Having a plan in place is crucial to recovery in my opinion - but being able to change and evolve your plan is just as important to make sure we stay on the recovery path.
Keep to your plans - we can do this!

Most importantly not drinking as well Dee. I have learned several coping skills to use in most situations. I have changed up my daily routine around normal drinking times as well. Avoiding trigger places and events.
I have not done AA but instead have gone to a recovery counselor which I treat like a coach to help keep me accountable.
