You Are Not A Burden
Very good message for me to hear today.
And this:
Burden is Guilt dressed up
Never thought of it that way. That's good. I naturally feel guilty about so much - for no really good reason most of the time. I'm working on that.

It is sad when members feel that they are a burden because they are struggling.
If quitting was easy, we wouldn't be here. We are here to help each other any way we can.

Thank you for this, Dee. I struggle so much with this because I get so tired of letting people down who have been so kind to me. I've thought before that I would just go away for awhile and maybe come back when I've gotten some sobriety under my belt and can not be such a bother, when I've got things "together". Whatever that means.
I'm so grateful I don't have to have it all together to be a part of this group. Sometimes I feel like this is the one place where it's ok for me to be struggling and broken. I still pray for a life of sobriety. In the meantime, thank you all for loving me until I hopefully one day can learn to love myself.

Solid words Dee!!
I always remember my first post on SR and how welcoming everyone was, it's something that is in the foundations around these parts, and no one should ever feel like they are burdening anyone, people genuinely care and want to be of help!!
