Thanks and see you soon
Thanks and see you soon
Hi SR crowd,
Exactly 25 days ago I have found this forum. That was the day after a small relapse following another failed attempt to quit. I was 16 days in and had warm up drinks for what was going to be a planned binge weekend.
I posted here, got all sorts of replies, had a good look at myself and have been sober since. But most importantly, this is different to my last day 25, I just know it, and I have SR to thank for this.
Your advice made me build a plan and follow it, it made me open up to the people around me and most importantly made me understand how to control my AV.
I am now about to go on a 2 weeks camping holiday where I'll have no internet connection at all, so I will not be able to check and post here (which I have been doing multiple times everyday). I am sure that when I m back I will have a few more days to my count and a lot more motivation, after all this will be my first sober holiday in almost 20 years!
So before I go I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you for helping me change my life. I will miss you guys!
Keep up the good work for those who are well and hang in there for those who are struggling. As long as we all keep sober there are brighter and brighter days ahead.
See you in a couple of weeks!
