14 Months and My Helpful Reminder
Hi, it's been a while since I was last on here.
The 17th was 14 months.
I see posts asking how to get out of the cage of alcoholism.
I have my moments still where I may have a slight craving or thought about drinking. What helps me is the reminder that I have etch in stone in my mind and heart. AA saved my life. I make it that serious because for me (and most people) it was a life or death situation.
I just couldn't do it anymore and I really don't miss it now. I'd miss sobriety too much if I went back drinking.
If you're struggling find help and find it as soon as you can. I've been in the program long enough at this point to hear of people that I saw and knew go back out and now they're dead.
Prayers to and for you all. Take care.

TNT - Congrats on your 14+ months. That's wonderful.
I agree - I'd miss sobriety if I lost it. I can't believe all the years I wasted worrying about what I'd be missing out on if I quit. In the end it was nothing but a life-threatening nightmare. Glad you are dong well - thanks for a great post.
