Day 2
So today is day 2. I feel much better than I did yesterday. I didn't go to a meeting yesterday I was just too hungover and tired so after work I just relaxed at home and hydrated and got an early sleep. I consider myself to be very lucky because I have never gone through alcohol withdrawals which makes it a lot easier so I had a pretty good day. I only had to work for a couple of hours so I exercised and caught up on some chores. I would have been up to going to a meeting but I live in a small town and there isn't any today. I plan on going tomorrow evening. If I'm honest though I haven't cared for meetings in the past. I'm willing to give it another try though especially considering the fact that I have recently moved to a new city and don't have any friends here. I could definitely use some friends, especially sober friends.
I haven't gone to any meetings yet (day 4) so I don't know what to expect. From everything I've read here and on other sites, it seems to be a good way to keep some forward momentum towards sobriety going without a lot of expense. Be open minded and give it a shot.

Congrats Ruby
Going to a meeting or not is up to you but I suggest continuing to do something specific for your recovery - please don't fall into the 'I feel ok now so maybe just keeping busy will keep me sober' trap
Making a plan is a good thing to do:

Go check out a meeting.. They're all a bunch of ex drunks..
You'll be welcome, you don't have to speak if you don't want to. They won't preach to you, all they really want to do is help! Free coffee with your first meeting.. Go for it!
