Damn these cravings
It's been 24 hours without alcohol now.
I haven't got any money to buy any more because of crazy things like electric bills and rent lol
So getting any is out of the question regardless.
But geez I want alcohol so stupidly badly.
Will these cravings go away in time?

In time yes in the meantime having a recovery plan helps tons

Why not investigate the (free) support that is in your area. Especially if you're skint at the moment. At least it could get you out of the house for a bit so you're not just sitting there thinking about not drinking alcohol and cravings.
I'd suggest acting quickly, because you know from past experience, once you've got some cash, you'll struggle not to cave in to the cravings.

Oh I'm working at the moment.
I work twelve hour shifts often hundreds of miles from home up to six days a week.
I literally have zero time for AA meetings (plus the religious side doesn't sit well with me).
It's going to have to be a solo willpower thing with support from this site

Congratulations on deciding to quit Prinnyruler - do check out the recovery plan link even if you don't use AA there are still plenty of other options
It sounds like you might be using alcohol to "decompress" after working long shifts which is understandable ( though not good) if so I would suggest some displacement activity like a walk. I walked for 45 mins or so in early recover to get a break from the cravings and it did help. Any sort of distraction is good
Best wishes

Having said that I got sober here on SR. It does take a lot of commitment tho, but recovery does no matter what method you follow.
You may want to look at your life and get some balance back into it?
Can you delegate some of your responsibilities?
Having 'zero time' for me usually meant me going the quick option for relaxing, which was drinking.

I just wanted to mention there are online meetings not only for AA but other groups as well, like SMART and Lifering.

This means much less rent and thus I can take a job that gives less hours.
I'll have a look at these online ideas too
I appreciate the help people. Genuinely do!
