Day 1for probably the hundredth time

Well as per usual I am pretty disgusted with myself. Just got off a three day bender and have a hangover from hell. I usually try to somewhat control my drinking but went way off the rails this weekend because I am under an enormous amount of stress due to my disastrous financial situation. I'm ready to stop though. I've had it. I've looked up my local AA meetings. I don't know if I will make it there tonight since I feel like complete garbage. I might stay in tonight and hang out on here. I'm going to a woman's only group on Wednesday evening. I think that will be a good place to start

Listen to the voice that told you to go today. Don't put it off til Wed - you can go AGAIN then! You can do this. Just today, that's where you start.

Good luck.

Your last day one is your choice. If your done then NOTHING can make you drink again. Even though I know it feels out of your control. Get to that meeting and be committed..... You got this

You can do it--
Not only will you feel better, a bonus is the money you don't spend.
I can't believe how much I have saved since I quit drinking
not only on booze, but impulse buys, crap food, etc.

One helpful thing I've seen people do is to calculate how much they spent
daily drinking and to "pay" themselves (maybe not real cash if you're broke
right now, but on paper) daily--the amount at the end of a month will surprise you.

Hang in there and get to some meetings.
Face the financial stuff a baby step at a time, but daily.
You can beat this.

Once I was regularly going to meetings, my desire to drink was lifted and has never returned.

Glad you are back today. I know how stressful financial issues can be, they really are easier to deal with when you are sober.

I agree with August about getting to a meeting today.

You can do this!!!

Every one of us here had a Day One.

I agree that the financial issues will become much less stressful without alcohol.

Welcome back Ruby!!

You can make this your last Day 1, and finally draw a line under alcohol, though for me if the plan wasn't working I needed to change up the plan, what are you going to do differently this time?

You can do this!!
