I'm new here . . .
Hi everyone. I can't believe this site exists!
I'm new to recovery. My sobriety date is April 5, 2014 and I am just beginning to see how the promises have been coming true over the last 2 years and 4 months. I was able to get into some real 12 step work this summer since I'm a teacher in the US (we get summers off).
I'm 57, female and live in Princeton New Jersey USA. I had to put my cat to sleep last week -- she was with me for 15 years. If you've lost a pet, you know what it's like. But today I'm grateful to have had her for as long as I did.
I look forward to spending some time in the Newcomers room.
Thanks for being here.

Welcome Tinhips. Lots in common. I'm another 12-step teacher. My sobriety date is 5th March 2014, so not far off yours.
Dealing with school with the benefit of the program is a much better experience than while in active alcoholism or while white-knuckling. Believe me!!! Lol.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. It's a brilliant sobriety tool.
