My service dog & former fiance
My service dog & former fiance
I'm needing some advice here. M and I live in different rooms in the same home. That's not an issue. Why I'm writing is my Service Dog is very close to M since we first moved into the same place. When he hears M's voice Zero will actually whine to see him. Should I allow this relationship continue? If not, what would your advice be? in advance

Is there any particular concern that you have with regard to M socializing with your dog? Do you fear for your dog's safety, or does the socializing specifically interfere with your needs for the dog?
Hi Shock,
When my ex-husband moved out of our condo, the cat slept on a duffle bag of his for several days. He did eventually move from there and back onto the foot of the bed with me. Your precious service pup will move on, too, if your 'roommate' moves out. I wouldn't worry about it too much!

What are the possible adverse effects of allowing the "relationship" to continue??
I think the more important question is , how viable is it to continue to live under the same roof with someone you don't even want to allow your dog to interact with? I mean, suppose instead of a former fiance, you had a regular housemate sharing the rent. Would you have a problem with the dog having a "relationship" with the roommate?
