Survived a craving

I've had a bit of a crap day- backed my car into a pole and bunged the boot area badly. Also discovered one of my rear vision mirrors is barely hanging on by a thread. And now its late and the kids are. Still. Awake. Aaargh!

A craving hit early this evening but I 'played the tape' and ate a big dinner instead. Now stuffing my face with herbal tea and choc mint slices and watching the Olympics.

I love the swimming! Sitting here waiting for the finals to start and feeling awesome because I'm not hungover.

Congrats!! I did the SAME thing last night! I don't know where the "one more time" idea came from. But I played the tape through and thought about this morning when I would wake up being sick. I let it slide. I can't drink like I use to and not pay for it the next day. ALL DAY. I also thought of how with each craving kicked that my mindset and brain neurotransmitters are getting that much stronger. WTG on waking up to a clear headed Sunday!

Great job!! We can't always use food and treats as the solution but sometimes it is exactly the right thing to do!! Hope you got a good night's sleep.

Nicely done! I am another one who loves the Olympics. Gymnastics is my favorite event to watch , swimming is a close second.

Good job! For some reason, tea always works for me. Instead of being addicted to alcohol I'm constantly drinking iced tea, herbal tea, etc.

Great job making it through! I'm on day 2. I made a pot of Thai ginger soup yesterday and have been eating off of it today. Keep going!
