Drinking Dreams

11 months.

I keep dreaming about drinking. In my daily life there is ZERO reason to drink. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about it on occasion but it quickly passes, I've honestly not even come close to taking a drink in months.

But I get drinking dreams REALLY frequently...where I start drinking just a sip, and go down a rabbit hole, or I wake up right after the sip like a nightmare.

Is it fear?

I'm not sure. I just decided to come back and post because something is going on. Maybe stress is my trigger and I'm certainly stressed.

I know a lot of people do interpret dreams but personally I chose not to assign any meaning to my drinking dreams Kinzoku.

I did lot of drinking - I thought it was inevitable I'd dream about it.

I didn't drink in real life, I stayed committed and the dreams stopped eventually

Can you do anything about the stress you're under?
D.

I think most people have some drinking dreams. Funny though, most of us wake up relieved it didn't really happen.

Definitely wake up relieved. I'll take it as a good sign. I'll work on doing something about my stress, I think I'm taking on too many things at once.

Ahh the drinking dream , I was having those 2 or 3 times a week up until a few weeks ago but they've stopped , I am always on my own lost in a strange place trying to find my way home drinking in strange bars ,seems to always be near a beach or somewhere with water , not nightmares but not pleasant either .

I've had them. And I think they are reminders for us how important sobriety is - especially when you go from choosing the drink then waking up in a terror that you've blown it.

Use it as motivation to stay sober!
